| Can the PORTEO be fitted on every interior door? |
The PORTEO can be fitted on all conventional interior doors with a max. door width of 1,100 mm and a max. door weight of 80 kg. The permitted maximum weights according to the door width can be found in the operating instructions. When fitting the PORTEO to an all-glass door, a glass saddle plate for fitting the slide channel to the door leaf is optionally available. |
| Is the PORTEO suitable for use on fire and smoke check doors? | No, the PORTEO is not suitable for use on fire and smoke check doors. It is an electro-mechanical unit with no mechanical self-closing function. |
| Must the PORTEO be operated with safety sensors installed? |
No, according to DIN 18650, the use of safety sensors is not necessary because the PORTEO operates in "low-energy" mode. Due to special spatial conditions and the expected user group of the door, it may be sensible to use safety sensors for a low-energy operator also. |

| Can the PORTEO be retrofitted on doors? |
The PORTEO door assistant can be retrofitted. It is supplied ready for connection and can be self-installed (Plug&Go). Installation can also be carried out by a qualified DORMA PORTEO Service Partner on request. |
| For what fixing arrangements is the PORTEO suitable? | The PORTEO is suitable for all four fixing options: transom- or leaf-fixing on the pull or push side. |

| Is the PORTEO ready for operation once it has been installed? | Following correct installation, a simple commissioning phase must be carried out using the operating instructions or the video in order to prepare the door assistant for operation. |

| Which operating modes can be set with the PORTEO? | Depending on the required application, the PORTEO has four different operating modes: 1. "PowerLess" operating mode The door can be opened manually using a lever handle. The PORTEO then closes the door automatically. 2. "Push&Go" operating mode The door is pushed open manually using a lever handle to 3°, after which the door opens automatically. The PORTEO closes the door automatically. 3. "PowerMotion" operating mode Opening signal from a manual pushbutton or hand-held transmitter in conjunction with an electric strike. The PORTEO opens and closes the door automatically. If an electric strike is not used, the latch must be deactivated in order to enable the PowerMotion function. 4. "PermanentOpen" operating mode The PORTEO holds the door open for as long as is required. This is ideal for instance in the case of access doors that need to remain open permanently throughout the day. |

The PORTEO is TÜV-tested and carries the GS mark for approved safety. The PORTEO also carries the CE mark. Both certificates may be requested from DORMA if required. |

| What is included in the standard equipment for the PORTEO? |
The PORTEO door assistant is supplied as a complete package with a mains cable ready for connection. The standard equipment also includes a tool for adjusting the potentiometers. |
| Where can I get further information about the PORTEO? | Your DORMA PORTEO stockist can provide you with in-depth expert advice about the PORTEO and will also be pleased to supply you with further information. |
| For how long is the PORTEO guaranteed? | Without affecting statutory rights as enshrined in commercial law, DORMA provides a two-year warranty in accordance with its General Terms and Conditions of Business. In the event of a warranty claim, the PORTEO should be returned to DORMA via a DORMA PORTEO stockist. DORMA does not provide any warranty of quality for the PORTEO (§ 443 German Civil Code Baschaffenheitsgarantie"). |
| How can I dispose of the PORTEO at a later date? | Like all electrical appliances, the PORTEO door assistant must be taken to a recycling centre and may not be disposed of with household refuse. It may not be returned to DORMA. |
